Capturing Your Sound

My job isn’t to convey my sound; it’s to capture yours … and to do it in such a way that we all have a blast doing it. I mean, come on … sure it’s music and yeah it’s art, but recording doesn’t have to be stressful. I really try to bend over backwards to give the artists I work with a great experience, because the truth is that music always turns out better when it’s created in a relaxed environment. That’s what I work towards in every session.

For the past 15 years, I’ve worked in and around recording studios and have had the privilege to work with and learn from some very talented people! During that time, I’ve spent countless hours honing my producing and engineering skills. Whenever a specific tone or signature sound needs to be conveyed, the time I’ve spent experimenting with microphones and mic/pre combinations really pays off in making sure I capture the exact representation of the sound that’s in my head. And that in turn leads to creating an exceptional recording that is uniquely yours.
